The position is located in the Welder Shop (26A), Hull Division (TRF-310), Repair Department (TRF-300), TRIDENT Refit Facility (TRIREFFAC) Kings Bay, Georgia. TRIREFFAC is a Fleet Maintenance Activity (FMA) developed to support quick turnaround repair, replenishment, logistic update, and system certification of the Ohio Class submarine over its extended operating cycle.
You must be a US Citizen. Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal & Regulatory Guidance. Suitable for Federal employment as determined by background investigation. Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period. This position is a Drug Testing Designated Position (TDP). You must obtain and maintain a Confidential security clearance.
Responsible for planning, directing, and managing the lay-out, fabrication, assembly, and installation of various metal structural parts of submarines.
Plans Weekly schedules and establishes deadlines in accordance with program directives and requirements.
Responsible for the accomplishment of the entire range of shop welding.
