Performs investigations, reviews, studies, analyses, of the command's operations that provide an independent, in-house means of detecting inefficiencies and improprieties.
The work requires performing special investigations, analyses and studies on a wide range of programs, processes and functional areas throughout the command.
The results provide criteria, conditions, causes, effects and methodology of findings, which were noted during the investigations and reviews.
The work requires preparation of recommendations to correct those conditions, which adversely affect mission accomplishment, command integrity or the uneconomical use of command resources.
Reviews and provides advice on command policies and procedures, paying particular attention to evidence of valid audit trails, separation of duties and other internal controls.
